What is one thing you’d do if you knew you couldn’t fail? Think of the big dreams that you had as a child. What stopped you from achieving them? Sometimes big dreams and ideas come to us. We get really excited and begin mentally planning for how great that thing would be. We dream big and then, when reality sets in, we abandon those dreams and settle for something that we think is more “realistic.” We are content with mediocrity. After the hype, we go back to our comfortable way of living and resume life as normal.
Each of us has great potential inside us waiting to be unlocked. The question is: How do we unlock this potential? Sometimes we get taken aback by our limitations. It’s true that we do have physical limitations on this earth, but God has called us to live a life beyond those limits. This isn’t something we can do on our own.
13[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. (Philippians 2:13)
The key is in accepting God’s supernatural power that helps you to do things greater than you could have ever imagined. There is a power that God has available to all those who believe in Him. When you accept the Holy Spirit, He provides power for you and through you to accomplish the things that you didn’t know you could achieve. He pushes us beyond the comfortable, mediocre living we are accustomed to.
Allow God to explore the rest of your potential. Live beyond what you see and believe by faith. The things we see don’t hold all that is possible. There is something inside you that gives you an edge, helping you accomplish what you couldn’t do alone. Keep going. You’re just getting started.
John 14 12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.
